Speech Day - 18th March 1938
Click on an image to enlarge it in your browser window. NB. This set of notes was originally clipped together with the incomplete Speech Day notes for 1939. This set of notes, it can be assumed from the dates given in them, and as they were clipped with the hand-written notes on guests invited/attended, for Speech Day 1938, are probably the Principal's notes for Speech Day of that year. However, the notes are not a complete set and indeed seem to be culled from at least two, possibly three, different sets of notes for that year. It is possible that, rather than write a completely new report, that various pieces of information were culled from different sources and presented as the Principal's Speech. It is unclear as to whether this set of notes were in fact used on Speech Day 1938. There is another set of notes, differing in content to this set, also for Speech Day of that same year.
