The CMS Archives Showing the Agreement to Lend Bishop Gwynne the Buildings to Start Unity High School - June 26th 1928

These pages from the CMS archives show the original request by Bishop Gwynne to set up Unity High School in the buildings that it continues to occupy to this day. The buildings, as this document notes, were previously occupied by the CMS Girls' School. The Bishop had originally requested that the CMS provide for a rent free period of seven years to help ease the financial burden of setting up the school, however this was finally settled at five years. The request to set up the school was approved and adopted on July 11th 1928.

An Email Exchange Between the Principal Dr Marina Hitchen and the Ex-Trustee Rev. Charles Bonsall - March to May 2011

The following is an email exchange between the Principal; Dr. Marina Hitchen and the former school Trustee Charles Bonsall. Although it was originally decided to honour the request of Charles Bonsall not to publish his correspondence in full so as to protect Pat Clague's reputation, this decision was reversed when it was discovered that Bonsall's testimony could not be fully relied upon and that he had lied over his signing of the 1995 Trustee appointing letter, which can be found here: A Letter Purporting to be From a Meeting of the Trustees in Which New Trustees Were Appointed - 7th June 1995 .
