The School Motto

Whatsoever things are true,
Whatsoever things are honest,
Whatsoever things are just,
Whatsoever things are pure,
Whatsoever things are lovely,
Whatsoever things are of good report,
Think on these things.

  1. This motto was framed and put up in the hall in 1929. Where is it? Lost along with the painting the Armenian girls gave in memory of their sister. Also all the trophies????

  2. There seems to have been an effort made at some point, possibly under Treagust, to remove and do away with as much evidence of the school's past as possible. Even the names of the school Houses were changed as they used to be a reminder of key people from the early part of the school's history. It is a huge tragedy that so much was removed and destroyed.

  3. The House names wer changed from key figures to the names of flowers first. That was the first attempt to forget those people. Then to the present names later to make it more difficult to trace back. The trophies went with them because they had the names of those people on them.
Althouggh a very amateurish forgery of the Trust itself a lot of effort appears to have been made in the cover up
